Stafford Lancers Instructional Vacancies
It has been 10 years since Stafford Lancers opened its doors to perspective members, and Stafford Lancers are celebrating there 10th Anniversary with the show of all shows Les Miserables!
We currently have a vacancy for …..
VISUAL DESIGNER / CAPTION HEAD
…someone to design the 2005 visual show. This is an exciting opportunity to design for a large Corps that is continually developing year on year. Stafford Lancers have always had a strong visual design and creative team and we are looking for the right person to take that forward in our tenth anniversary. Working with our current staff and liaising on staging and content as well as collating all the creative ideas are all part and parcel of visual design, but the atmosphere and attitude of the members makes this a fantastic role to take on!
If you have the creative wizardry and passion for innovative design then we want to hear from you! You must not only be able to work within our current structure and movement philosophy but also help it develop for the good of the Corps.
FRONT ENSEMBLE
….a person to take on and help in the running & development of our "Frontline Ensemble"! Following on from the development plan of the 2004 season, and working along side our current structure you will help in the learning process of making a section which is seen as a ‘key area’ for the corps important 10th season. You will be able to help mould and grow the section.
The successful person will be given the full support of all our resources in every aspect to be able to make this happen!
BRASS INSTRUCTOR
….an additional Brass Instructor, to work with our mainline. This is due to the growth of this section over the past year and the anticipated development over the next few months.
Currently we have over 30 mainline members on our books.
More than anything you need to have ability and be a good communicator as well as a team player and be able to work within the confines of your brief.
VISUAL TECHNICIANS
…several Drill Technicians for our 2005 Programme. Working alongside our current visual team, you will be given a set section to work with and aid in the teaching of our Drill Book.
You must have experience in either Drill Instruction or an age out member who has the flair for Drill and an understanding of reading a drill book and setting forms.
More than anything you need to have ability and be a good communcator as well as a team player and be able to work within the confines of our current Movement (Drill) Philosophy.
DRUM MAJOR
…a drum major to join the ranks of the Lancers. We are looking for someone with the experience and flair to be a great DM! You must posses’ good leadership qualities and skills and although conducting/Drum Major experience would be an advantage it is not necessary as long as you have a passion to learn the ropes and the drive to be a great leader then we want to hear from you. Most of all you need to be able to work within the current Drum Major team as well as willing to work with all sections of the corps. If you are looking for a challenge, and want to work with a great team of staff and some experienced corps veterans then get in touch!
